The Chai Tea Vol. 8

Spilling 18 Ways to Support Our Tribe this Week!

Shavua Tov everyone!

It’s been a minute, and I hope that you had a sweet New Year, an easy fast and you are having a Chag Sukkot Sameach as we move into a new week that will end with Simchat Torah.

I personally took some time over the last few weeks to observe our holidays with my family, and simply just be with loved ones.

As is the case every day, so much has happened since this newsletter last landed in your inbox. I know that it feels like every time you turn around there is another message of hate, or another lie being told. And I’m not saying there isn’t. Life has changed, it’s different. BUT, the reason we are here and the reason you subscribed to this newsletter is to put a little positivity back into our world and our community.

So, I want to remind you that the one reason and one reason only we are here is: To support one another within this incredible community

There are a lot of new faces around here, so let me remind you. Each week I spill 18 ways you can support our tribe. The newsletter goes out on Sunday, and I’ll send a repeat to new subscribers throughout the week on Thursday. The newsletter will be available for free in your inbox. If you’re a premium subscriber, you’ll have access to the archives and previous editions on our website too, as well as a whole other host of perks.

My ask of you when it comes to these businesses is VERY SIMPLE:

FOLLOW THEM, SHARE THEM WITH YOUR FRIENDS + COMMUNITY, or BUY FROM THEM.

Show them the love.

If you like what you see here, share this newsletter with your friends, encourage them to subscribe too! We’re better together…and the larger our community around here, the bigger the difference we can make.

And, if you’re a premium subscriber, scroll to the bottom, where you’ll find some incredible discounts from many of the entities listed here. Don’t forget, 18% of your premium subscription will be donated to the non-profit featured in our monthly Tikkun Olam Spotlight below.

If you have a business we should meet, please give them this form to fill out. Questions or comments—-feel free to hit reply and let me know. It’s my goal to continue to highlight Jewish-owned businesses and I would love for you to share your favorites with me too!

Are you ready to put some good back into this world?

The tea’s been brewing…and now I’m ready to spill.

See you next week.

Same time, same place.

XX,

Lindsay Pinchuk, Founder of The Chai Tea

In no particular order…I’m spilling 18 ways you can support our tribe this week:

The only way to repair the world is to spread kindness and understanding, and to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.”

AN IMPORTANT CAUSE TO BE AWARE OF AND TO DONATE TO:

  1. SAFEHEART: Today we received the news that Nova Survivor, Shirel Golan, chose to end her life on her 22nd birthday. What these kids have experienced, witnessed and cannot forget is a huge part of this tragedy. I am thankful to voices like Eve Barlow, for bringing attention to causes like this one.

SafeHeart provides psychological support to survivors of the October 7th festivals, offering immediate and long-term care through therapy, group support, retreats, and family assistance. Our emergency psychiatric services and trauma research further contribute to holistic healing and global understanding of trauma recovery. DONATE HERE

This month’s Tikkun Olam Spotlight, is THE TRIBE OF NOVA.

THE TRIBE OF NOVA’S GOAL IS TO support long-term recovery from trauma for survivors and the bereaved families of the Nova Music Festival massacre on October 7th. They provide a community-based support system that fosters post-traumatic growth, reduces isolation, and mitigates the risks of trauma.

My goal is to be able to make an $1800 donation this month—-which will sponsor six survivors on a weekend recovery healing retreat.

Every month The Chai Tea gives 18% of new premium subscription revenue to our Tikkun Olam Spotlight as our own contribution to put some good back into the world. Join us in giving back this month and every month…it costs less than a cup of coffee (or tea…).
